"I learned to read at 32. Now I teach other women to do the same."

Fatima arrived at a refugee camp in Chad with three children and no formal schooling. Today, she runs a literacy circle that has helped 84 women read for the first time in their lives.

Her story is one of 50+ featured stories from women in our programs. We collect them not to perform poverty, but to honor the agency of women reshaping their own futures — and to be accountable to the communities we serve.
